Edible Tea Cups for the Princess

Birthdays are so much fun. They are a time of celebration and thanksgiving to God for the life of a person. Birthdays are pretty big around here. My mom always decorates the house and then has the child’s favorite meal with the table set all fancy. She’s a great mom. Love you, Mommy!

For Rebecca’s 8th birthday this past week, my mom did a tea party theme. One of the yummy foods at the tea party were these adorable edible tea cups. They were so cute that I just couldn’t bring myself to eat them.

They were “glued” together with melted chocolate and cookies, sprinkles, and anything pure sugar was the decor. There was every kind of candy used to satisfy your sweet tooth. They’re adorable.

EDIBLE TEA CUPS

TWEAKED FROM THE ORIGINAL: Blogs across the Internet

Why You Go “Aww . . . ”

1 bag large marshmellows

1 box gingersnaps

1 bag Life Savers, cut each Life Saver into half

1 bag melting candies

Sprinkles, for garnish

How To Go “Aww . . . ” Properly:

1. Lay out all of your supplies and set aside.

2. Melt the candy over low-medium heat.

3. Dip the bottom of one marshmellow into the melted candy and glue onto the center of the gingersnap cookie.

4. Dip the two cut ends of each half of the Life Saver into the melted candy. “Glue” onto the side of the marshmellow so that it resembles the tea cup’s handle.

5. Dip the top of the “tea cup” {aka: the marshmellow} into the melted candy and then top with sprinkles to resemble the tea.

6. Repeat steps #3 – #5 until all of the marshmellows and melted candies are gone.

7. Once the melted candy is set on all of your “tea cups”, serve to a bunch of princesses at their tea time. Adorable.
