Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

 IMG_3206 - pretzel toppings

Chocolate-dipped pretzels remind me of Christmas. They remind me of cold winter nights with the family sitting around close to the fire, sipping a nice mug of hot chocolate. They remind me of the anticipation of Christmas and the joy that the holy day brings.

Of course, Christmas was done, gone, and surely enjoyed AGES upon AGES ago (“ages and ages” being a month). I can’t help but still love chocolate-dipped pretzels even if Christmas is over. I made them the other day, of course for post-St. Valentine’s day since you can just never get enough of CHOCOLATE! We all loved them – LOVED THEM!

Chocolate-dipped pretzels are too easy for a recipe, but I have all sort of post-worthy topping ideas that I just had to share! From marshmellows, to sprinkles; every topping imagine-able will be in this post . . . maybe except pickle relish.

Why It Tastes So Delish

1 (16 oz.) bar of chocolate, sweetened (white, dark, or milk chocolate)

1 (16 oz.) bag of pretzels

Melted chocolate (drizzled on)

Chocolate shavings

Melted peanut butter (drizzled or dipped)

Crushed peanuts (or other tree nut)

Crushed toffee

Crushed peppermint candies

Finely chopped candy bars (Milky Way, Butterfinger, Rieces, etc.)

Mini marshmellows

How To Consume Properly

1. Melt the bar of chocolate over the stovetop at low heat, or in the microwave. Dip the pretzels in the chocolate and set them on a sheet of wax paper.

2. Before the dipped pretzels set, sprinkle on your desired toppings.

3. Once the pretzels are set, eat, eat, and eat them! These are the BEST!
